ai gif generator from image
Turn a picture into an animated loop with AI — reference images coming soon
Huatua is an AI GIF generator from text, with image-to-GIF coming soon that turns a one-line description of your picture into a short looping GIF today, with reference-image uploads coming soon.
How does animating a picture with AI work?
Reference-image uploads are coming soon. Until then, Huatua works from text: describe the picture you have in mind — the subject, its colors, the background — and the motion you want, and the model draws a new looping GIF from that description.
When uploads open, the image will guide the look and your prompt will decide what moves. Like today, the result is a redrawn loop, not a frame-by-frame trace of your picture.
What kind of images work best?
Clear subjects on simple backgrounds animate most reliably: a mascot, a pet, a product, a hand-drawn character or a logo. Describe one subject with its colors and a plain background rather than a busy scene. When reference uploads open, only use images you have the right to use, such as your own photos and artwork.
Which preset should I pick for a photo?
Sticker is the usual choice for a pet or mascot: it centers the subject with a clean outline, ready for Discord, Telegram or WhatsApp sticker packs. Meme suits a face or pose you want to exaggerate, with an optional caption. Banner lays the scene out horizontally for a header, and Loop adds gentle ambient motion such as drifting light, rising steam or swaying leaves.
What does it cost to animate a photo?
Your first three GIFs are free without signing up, at the Quick tier (816×816, 6 frames). An account adds ten more free Quick runs for seven days. For smoother motion, Standard with 12 frames costs one credit and HD with 12 frames at the highest detail costs three, from one-time packs starting at $0.99 for 5 credits. Failed generations refund their credit automatically, and the downloaded file never carries a watermark.
Frequently asked
- Can I animate a photo of my pet?
- Photo uploads are coming soon. Today, describe your pet (breed, colors, pose) and the motion, such as a tail wag or a slow blink, and choose the Sticker or Loop preset.
- Will the GIF look exactly like my picture?
- Reference images are coming soon; until then the loop follows your text description, so it will not match a specific picture.
- Should I add a text prompt as well?
- Yes — for now the text prompt is the only input. Describe the look and the movement; a short motion description usually gives a more predictable loop.
- How long does it take?
- About 20 to 30 seconds per GIF.
