Write one sentence, get a GIF: the prompt-first way

Huatua is a GIF maker AI from text prompts that turns one written sentence into a looping animated GIF in about 20 to 30 seconds.

How do you make a GIF from a sentence?

Write what you want to see moving, choose a preset and a quality tier, and generate. A good prompt names a subject, an action and a setting in one sentence. The model then draws every frame of the loop, so there is no footage to find and no timeline to edit.

What makes a good GIF prompt?

Lead with the motion, because motion is what separates a GIF from a still. “A paper plane looping through clouds” gives the model a clear path; “a beautiful sky” does not. Keep to one subject and one action. Add a style word or two, like flat illustration, clay, pixel art or watercolor, and a background, like plain white or a soft gradient. Long lists of quality adjectives rarely change the result.

Examples by preset. Sticker: “a round orange cat waving, thick white outline, plain background”. Meme: “a shocked hamster slowly turning to the camera”, with a caption of your choice. Banner: “neon city skyline at night, windows flickering, wide”. Loop: “steam rising from a coffee cup on a wooden table”.

Which quality tier should I use?

Quick renders 816×816 with 6 frames for one credit and is what the free allowance uses, so it is the tier for testing prompts. Standard renders 12 frames for one credit and HD renders 12 frames at the highest detail for three credits, both at 816×816; both use paid credits. A sensible habit is to iterate on Quick and re-run the winning prompt on Standard or HD.

Can I generate loops in bulk?

Yes, through the API. Send POST /api/v1/gifs with an API key and a prompt, and the same presets and tiers apply. Huatua also gives you Skill texts for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex, so a coding agent can produce loops for a project without you copying prompts by hand. If you only want a short phrase animated as lettering, the separate text to GIF page covers that case.

Frequently asked

How long should a prompt be?
One sentence is usually enough. Name a subject, an action and a background, and add a style word if you have one in mind.
Can the GIF include a caption?
The Meme preset can add an optional caption. With the other presets, describe the scene rather than asking for long text inside the image.
Does it work without an account?
Yes. Three GIFs are free with no sign-up, and creating an account adds ten more Quick generations for seven days.
Which model draws the frames?
Huatua uses OpenAI image models. It is an independent product and is not affiliated with OpenAI.
